Abigail Breslin and Colman Domingo Lead Thriller 'Chapter 51' About Hollywood's Notorious Serial Killer

The first look at Chapter 51 has arrived, bringing a dark tale of Hollywood crime to audiences this summer.
Directed and written by Tyler Shields, the thriller brings together Abigail Breslin and Colman Domingo in a story centered on the Hollywood Killer, a serial murderer who strikes during a high-profile film production. The killer's rampage leaves three actresses dead and transforms the set into a crime scene, sending the production into turmoil as fear and uncertainty grip everyone involved. The unsolved murders become one of Hollywood's most shocking mysteries.
The narrative takes a new turn when former FBI agent Thomas Scott decides to revisit the cold case years later. His investigation unearths long-dormant secrets tied to the original crimes, slowly revealing what really happened behind the scenes.
The ensemble cast rounds out the story with Emily Alyn Lind, Charlotte Lawrence, Dylan Sprayberry, and Connor Paolo, alongside supporting players Allie Marie Evans, Monib Abhat, Andy Janbek, and Annie Given Fink.
Shields handled cinematography duties in addition to directing and writing the project. The film was produced by Todd Mandel, Giovanni Ribisi, and Shields, with executive producer credits going to Steve Carson, Jake Cloobeck, John Ryan Jr., Kenan Thompson, and Tyler Transki.
Chapter 51 arrives on digital platforms June 23, 2026 through Cineverse. Domingo, who recently appeared in the Michael Jackson biopic released earlier in 2026, has previously discussed the film's approach to the allegations surrounding the late musician.
