Georgia's 'About Work the Dancefloor' Gains Attention After Featuring in Hacks Series Finale

Georgia's 2019 single "About Work the Dancefloor" is capturing widespread attention after appearing in a key scene during the series finale of HBO's Hacks.

The track, which originally appeared on Georgia's album Seeking Thrills, plays during a nightclub sequence set in Paris. In the finale, Jean Smart's character Deborah Vance travels to Europe with Ava (Hannah Einbinder) for a final getaway before entering an assisted suicide facility, following her cancer diagnosis. The two characters hit the dancefloor while the song soundtracks their moment of release.

Though the song never charted significantly in the United States, it earned recognition internationally, receiving NME Award nominations for Best British Single and Best Song in the World. The Hacks production team used edited portions of the track, weaving together snippets from both the verses and chorus to enhance the scene's emotional impact.

The placement marks a notable moment for the British artist, as viewers discovering the track through the series finale have sparked renewed interest in the song and its parent album.
