Adrien Brody Presents Original Mixed-Media Artwork at Raising Cane's Times Square Flagship

Adrien Brody has added another accomplishment to his impressive resume: visual artist. The two-time Academy Award winner made an appearance at Raising Cane's global flagship in Times Square on Sunday, June 28, to debut an original mixed-media mural he designed specifically for the restaurant's owner and founder, Todd Graves.

Brody, who is currently performing in The Fear of 13 on Broadway, created the piece as a tribute to his friend's entrepreneurial journey. The artwork draws inspiration from Graves' path building the chicken fingers restaurant empire from its inception to its current scale of more than 1,000 locations worldwide.

The mural, titled "Cane's Anthem," incorporates a diverse range of visual elements that tell the story of both the brand's growth and Brody's own connection to the city. The 53-year-old actor, a Queens native, wove together imagery from Baton Rouge—where Raising Cane's originated—with iconic New York City street elements and personal touches, including the playbill from his Broadway debut.

Graves reflected on the collaboration in a statement, highlighting the significance of the timing. "I'm excited to unveil Cane's Anthem with my good friend Adrien Brody—two-time Oscar winner and the artist behind this incredible piece, which is on display at the Raising Cane's Global Flagship in Times Square," he said. He noted that the mural marks a particularly meaningful moment, arriving on the third anniversary of the restaurant's flagship opening in Times Square in June 2023.

"Adrien, who grew up in Queens, incorporated elements from Baton Rouge and the early days all the way through to many elements that are iconic to New York and himself as an artist and actor, including weathered street ephemera from NYC, the playbill from his Broadway debut, and more," Graves added. "The piece is an incredible reflection of the journey to achieving my dream and it was special being able to unveil it with Adrien today."
