Alexander Ludwig and AJ Michalka Caught Filming The White Lotus Season Four at Cannes

The White Lotus season four production is underway in Cannes, with Alexander Ludwig and AJ Michalka captured filming on set alongside director Mike White.
The pair were photographed on Tuesday, May 26, exiting a movie theater and descending the nearly-empty steps at the Cannes Film Festival location in Cannes, France. Ludwig and Michalka both appeared in their red carpet attire, while White—working solely in a directorial capacity—dressed casually in a t-shirt and shorts.
Additional cast members were also spotted filming on the iconic Cannes Film Festival stairs, suggesting their characters are involved in a movie premiere at the festival. Typically, access to the top of the stairs is restricted to the cast and crew of premiering films, with others kept away from the exclusive space.
The fourth season takes a distinctive approach by centering the narrative around the actual Cannes Film Festival itself. According to Variety, the premise follows two competing film teams who arrive at Cannes with movies in contention. One group stays at an opulent hotel on the Croisette, while the other occupies a lavish hilltop resort.
The season will track the experiences of guests at a fictional hotel situated near the festival, marking a departure from the anthology series' previous installments. Several new cast members have recently joined the roster for the upcoming season.
