American Idol's 2026 Finale Brings Star-Studded Lineup with Grammy Winners and Fan Favorites

The American Idol Season 24 finale is shaping up to be a major television event, with a powerhouse roster of musical talent set to take the stage on Monday, May 11.

The three-hour episode will air on ABC and showcase an impressive array of performers alongside the season's final three contestants. Grammy-winning artist Alicia Keys will serve dual roles as both a mentor to the remaining competitors and as a performer during the broadcast.

Host Ryan Seacrest unveiled the complete finale lineup during this week's episode, revealing a diverse mix of chart-topping acts and beloved artists. The lineup includes Brad Paisley, Blues Traveler, Cameron Whitcomb, Clay Aiken, En Vogue, Gin Blossoms, Jason Mraz, Lee Ann Womack, Mötley Crüe, Nelly, Shinedown, and Tori Kelly.

Among these performers, Clay Aiken stands out as a particularly significant name in Idol history. The beloved alum finished as runner-up during the show's second season and has since built a thriving music career in the decades since his appearance.

The buildup to the finale included a special May 4 episode celebrating a major milestone. Five contestants from Season 5 returned to mark the season's 20th anniversary, performing duets with the current Top 5 finalists. The nostalgic episode also brought back former judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson, reuniting them with the Idol stage for the first time in years.
