The announcement came as a complete surprise to Rosser. During the Top 9 episode—which featured Disney Night performances—Boyd made a dramatic entrance on stage following Rosser's performance. Host Ryan Seacrest introduced her to the audience, noting that she was a former finalist and one of Rosser's biggest fans.
