The 2026 American Music Awards celebrated music's biggest names on Monday evening at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, with the ceremony honoring achievements across pop, country, hip-hop, R&B, Latin, rock, and alternative genres.

Taylor Swift dominated the nomination count with eight nods heading into the evening but failed to secure any wins, marking the second year in a row she departed without an award. BTS and Sombr emerged as standout winners on the televised portion of the show.

The ceremony featured numerous award categories, with some honors presented on air while others were announced separately. The complete winners list spans major categories and specialized recognitions across all music genres represented at the event.

In the top-tier Artist of the Year category, BTS claimed victory over competition that included Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter, and Taylor Swift. KATSEYE won New Artist of the Year, edging out Alex Warren, Ella Langley, Leon Thomas, Olivia Dean, and Sombr.

Sabrina Carpenter's album "Man's Best Friend" took home Album of the Year honors, while HUNTR/X—featuring EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami—won Song of the Year for "Golden." The Collaboration of the Year award went to PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson for "Stateside."

Tyla's "CHANEL" won Social Song of the Year, and KATSEYE secured Best Music Video for "Gnarly." The Best Soundtrack award went to "KPop Demon Hunters" by Various Artists.

Shakira's Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour earned Tour of the Year, while Benson Boone's American Heart World Tour won Breakout Tour. Zara Larsson's "Midnight Sun" was recognized as Breakthrough Album of the Year, and Black Eyed Peas' "Rock That Body" took Best Throwback Song.

HUNTR/X also triumphed in Best Vocal Performance, and BTS won Song of the Summer for "SWIM."

Pop music saw Justin Bieber crowned Best Male Pop Artist, with Sabrina Carpenter taking Best Female Pop Artist. KATSEYE won Breakthrough Pop Artist, while HUNTR/X's "Golden" earned Best Pop Song. Sabrina Carpenter's "Man's Best Friend" took Best Pop Album.

In country music, Morgan Wallen was named Best Male Country Artist, Ella Langley won Best Female Country Artist, and the Zac Brown Band earned Best Country Duo or Group. Sam Barber received the Breakthrough Country Artist honor. Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" won Best Country Song, and Megan Moroney's "Cloud 9" took Best Country Album.

Kendrick Lamar won Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, while Cardi B earned Best Female Hip-Hop Artist. Monaleo was recognized as Breakthrough Hip-Hop Artist. Cardi B also took both Best Hip-Hop Song for "ErrTime" and Best Hip-Hop Album for "AM I THE DRAMA?"

Bruno Mars dominated R&B categories, winning Best R&B Artist, Best R&B Song for "I Just Might," and Best R&B Album for "The Romantic." SZA won Best Female R&B Artist, and Leon Thomas earned Breakthrough R&B Artist.

Bad Bunny was named Best Male Latin Artist and won Best Latin Song for "NUEVAYoL." Shakira took Best Female Latin Artist, Fuerza Regida won Best Latin Duo or Group, and Kapo earned Breakthrough Latin Artist. KAROL G's "Tropicoqueta" was recognized as Best Latin Album.

Twenty One Pilots won Best Rock/Alternative Artist, while Sombr earned both Breakthrough Rock/Alternative Artist and Breakthrough Rock/Alternative Album for "I Barely Know Her." Sombr also won Breakthrough Rock/Alternative Song for "back to friends."

David Guetta was named Best Dance/Electronic Artist. BTS won Best Male K-Pop Artist, and TWICE took Best Female K-Pop Artist. Tyla was recognized as Best Afrobeats Artist, and Noah Kahan earned Best Americana/Folk Artist.
