Andrew Rannells Brings Partner Tuc Watkins to 'Miss You, Love You' Premiere

Andrew Rannells brought his longtime partner Tuc Watkins as his date to the red carpet debut of his latest film project.
The pair stepped out together Thursday night (May 7) at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles for the premiere of the HBO movie Miss You, Love You. The event also featured appearances from Rannells' castmates Allison Janney, Bonnie Hunt, Suzy Nakamura, Oscar Nunez, and Lisa Schurga, alongside writer-director Jim Rash and producer Nat Faxon.
The HBO film centers on a grieving widow named Diane Patterson, played by Janney, who must organize her husband's funeral alongside an unexpected partner: Jamie Simms, an assistant to her estranged son, portrayed by Rannells. As the two navigate their shared loss and complicated circumstances, they uncover hidden secrets and old tensions—yet their unlikely pairing becomes a vehicle for unexpected connection, humor, and personal growth.
The film is set to premiere on HBO on Friday, May 29 at 8pm, with simultaneous availability on HBO Max.
Watkins marked the occasion with an enthusiastic social media post, sharing premiere photos and encouraging viewers to tune in. The actor previously collaborated with director Rash on the television series Shifting Gears. In his Instagram caption, Watkins wrote: "On May 29 skip your acting class and just watch Allison & Andrew in 'Miss You, Love You' on @hbomax written/directed beautifully by my tv hub Jim Rash."
Rannells responded to his partner's post with a simple comment: "Baby," accompanied by a heart emoji.
Rannells and Watkins first met in 2018 while performing opposite each other in the Broadway staging of The Boys in the Band. They later reunited to reprise their roles for the Netflix film version of the production.
