Andy Cohen Addresses Lisa Kudrow's Questions About Controversial RHOBH Italy Scene

Andy Cohen is weighing in after Lisa Kudrow raised eyebrows about a pivotal scene from the latest season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills during her guest appearance on Watch What Happens Live this week.

The Comeback star appeared on Monday's episode (May 11) and questioned the authenticity of a dramatic moment involving Dorit Kemsley, Erika Jayne, and Kyle Richards during the cast's Italian getaway. The scene centered on Dorit leaving the group in a Mercedes van after a heated argument, seemingly stranding her two castmates in town.

Viewers had since scrutinized the footage, noticing another Mercedes vehicle in the vicinity, which sparked speculation that the sequence was manufactured for television. Kudrow highlighted this detail during her appearance.

On his SiriusXM show Andy Cohen Live Wednesday morning (May 13), Cohen offered his explanation of what transpired. He explained that the second vehicle Kudrow referenced belonged to the production crew, which had been dispatched elsewhere at the time. After Dorit's departure, Kyle and Erika contacted the villa requesting transportation.

"The other car was the crew vehicle that was taking the crew somewhere else," Cohen said. "Kyle and Erika then called the house to ask for a ride back."

He continued: "They called the house and that's why the van that had just dropped off the crew then returned to get Erika and Kyle, so Erika and Kyle walking on the street waiting for the van, that was real, and they were standing there waiting for the van for some time."

Cohen acknowledged the sequence wasn't particularly dramatic when broken down, noting that the delay stemmed from the crew vehicle needing to reach its destination before returning to collect the stranded pair.

The clarification comes as several Bravo series, including multiple Real Housewives franchises, were recently announced for renewal.
