Anna Faris and Wayans Brothers Launch 'Scary Movie 6' Campaign in Mexico City

The promotional campaign for Scary Movie 6 officially kicked off Monday with a vibrant photo call in Mexico City.
Stars Anna Faris, Marlon Wayans, and Shawn Wayans gathered at Bosque de Chapultepec on May 11 to celebrate the horror-comedy franchise's sixth entry. The celebration featured Faris dancing alongside someone dressed in the film's signature Ghostface parody costume, while a Mariachi band provided live accompaniment to the festivities.
Scary Movie 6 reunites the original Core Four cast members: Marlon Wayans reprising his role as Shorty, Shawn Wayans as Ray, Anna Faris as Cindy, and Regina Hall as Brenda. The ensemble cast also welcomes both returning performers and newcomers to the project.
The plot finds the Core Four once again targeted by a masked killer twenty-six years after their first encounter with the "suspiciously familiar" Ghostface character. This time around, the film takes aim at the current horror landscape, spoofing reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, and any film bearing the word "legacy" in its title. According to the film's premise, "Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed."
The antagonists stalking the protagonists include Jason from Friday the 13th, Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Ghostface appearing in M3GAN drag.
Scary Movie 6 arrives in theaters June 5.
