The pair, married since 2012, revealed the pregnancy through an Instagram post featuring a video of Hathaway walking through her living room in a white dress before turning to display her growing baby bump. She captioned the post with a playful message referencing a classic soul song.

Shulman, 45, and Hathaway are already parents to two sons: Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6. The expanding family comes as the actress has been reflecting on her current chapter of life.

In a recent interview with Elle, Hathaway opened up about the joys of her family time, noting that her sons are at an age where everyone genuinely enjoys spending time together. She acknowledged this dynamic may shift as they grow older, but expressed her and Shulman's commitment to savoring the present moment.

"We're all just in it," Hathaway said of her family life. "Adam and I are soaking it up. I'm having the most wonderful time with my family, living in the city of my dreams, and work seems to be going really, really well."

She added with candor: "So rather obnoxiously, I'm having a great time as everything else burns."
