Aubrey Plaza and Christopher Abbott Step Out in NYC as She Processes 'Kevin' Cancellation

Aubrey Plaza is making the most of some time off in New York City while her partner Christopher Abbott focuses on his Broadway commitments.

The 41-year-old actress, who is expecting her first child, was photographed out and about with the 40-year-old actor on Thursday afternoon, June 25, in Manhattan. For the outing, Plaza dressed casually in maternity overall shorts and a backwards cap.

The public appearance comes just days after Plaza shared disappointing news about one of her projects. Her animated comedy series "Kevin" will not continue beyond its first season, as Prime Video has opted not to renew the show.

Reflecting on the cancellation through an Instagram post, Plaza thanked viewers and the cast and crew who contributed to the series. She drew a parallel to her early days on "Parks and Recreation," recalling uncertainty about that show's future due to initial ratings concerns. She noted that NBC executives believed in the project enough to allow it to develop and find its audience.

"I was hoping for this for Kevin but sadly we are living in a different time in our industry," Plaza wrote. "I hope the machines won't ruin everything. Maybe Kevin will find a new owner someday."

Abbott and Plaza recently attended the Tony Awards together earlier this month to celebrate his performance in "Death of a Salesman," which took home the award for Best Revival of a Play.
