B.J. Novak Opens Up About Adorable Pet Name From Mindy Kaling's Daughter

B.J. Novak is opening up about a charming nickname bestowed upon him by his goddaughter.

The actor serves as godfather to Mindy Kaling's three children: Katherine "Kit" Swati, 8; Spencer, 5; and Anne, 2.

During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live!, Novak discussed the affectionate name Kit came up with for him. "Kit nicknamed me Fofo, which is based on a Duolingo for Kids character — the bear Fofo," he explained. "So, I got her a Fofo stuffed animal for her collection, and that hit the spot."

Host Andy Cohen praised Novak's rapport with the children, noting his attentiveness and ability to connect with them on their level. Cohen also referenced Novak's work in children's literature, to which Novak responded with warmth: "Yeah, but it's out of love…That's a lesson for all of us, right? You do what you love, and you get more out of that."
