Lauren Burnham Luyendyk Defends Alix Earle, Criticizes Alex Cooper Over Past "Call Her Daddy" Segment

Lauren Burnham Luyendyk, wife of Bachelor star Arie Luyendyk Jr., has taken a public stance in the ongoing tension between Alix Earle and Alex Cooper, declaring her allegiance on social media.
"Team @alixearle all the way. It's about time Alex Cooper gets called out," she posted, addressing the "Call Her Daddy" podcast host.
In a TikTok video, Lauren elaborated on her position, recounting a segment that aired on the show while she was pregnant and after her daughter was born. "They had this regular segment ongoing and they thought it would be funny to make fun of our unborn baby," she explained. "Make fun of us, don't care. But they took it too far. They made a regular segment before she was born and after she was born where they were sexualizing our child and talking very inappropriately and disgustingly about her."
She noted that while she initially hoped the situation would fade away, the continued nature of the commentary frustrated her. "We thought it would blow over. She just kept going on forever. Eventually she stopped and we kind of forgot about it and now that it's resurfacing again, it still makes me so furious," Lauren said.
Looking forward, she expressed hope that the current controversy surrounding Alex Cooper might prompt reflection. "I just hope that all of this controversy that's hanging around her right now causes her to rethink the level that she is willing to stoop to to get attention, views, whatever it is that she's looking for because it's not okay and that's all I have to say about that."
Lauren did not specify the exact remarks in question. Online discussions have circulated for years about the segment, with some suggesting it began during her pregnancy when original co-host Sofia Franklyn would read Lauren's captions written from her unborn daughter's perspective in a baby voice, which later evolved into a recurring bit.
