Barbie Ferreira has reflected on life after her exit from HBO's hit series 'Euphoria.'

The 29-year-old actress played Katherine "Kat" Hernandez throughout the first two seasons before departing ahead of season three's production. In a recent sit-down, she opened up about navigating the public response to her departure and weighed in on the composer's recent comments about the show.

"It was a big lesson in having a public career: I have no control over public opinion," Ferreira told Bustle. "I had to practice big acceptance… I've obviously never been through a public discourse like that."

She reflected on the timing of her exit, noting that it coincided with the release of season three alongside her own film projects, Faces of Death and Mile End Kicks. "I don't know what that means from the universe," she said of the convergence.

Despite stepping away from the series, Ferreira plans to watch the new season. "I want to see where the characters go and I love the girls. I don't think [any of the actors know] what's going on — I think they only get their specific sides of the script," she explained.

The conversation also turned to Labrinth, who composed the score for the show's first two seasons. The musician recently voiced his frustrations with the series and its creator Sam Levinson. Ferreira expressed surprise at his public statements.

"That's what I didn't expect at all. People ask me, but I literally don't know what's going on at all," she said. "That sh-t is locked up, and honestly, I don't ask or pry. I never actually said anything about the show. All I said was I'm not on it anymore, and I told people why: The story ended."
