Baywatch Reboot Adds Returning Stars and New Cast Members

The Baywatch revival is moving full speed ahead. With filming now in its second month, the cast roster for the Fox reboot continues to expand, featuring both familiar faces from the original series and an array of new talent.
The story centers on Hobie Buchannon, the beloved character from the 1980s original, who has ascended to captain of Baywatch. Following in the footsteps of his father Mitch, Hobie's life takes an unexpected turn when Charlie—a daughter he never knew existed—arrives seeking to join the ranks as a lifeguard and honor the Buchannon family tradition.
The reboot also brings back Cody Madison, the iconic heartthrob of the original series, who now operates The Shoreline, the unofficial gathering spot for Baywatch personnel. While running the bar-and-grill, Cody continues to answer the call for rescue missions when needed, serving as both mentor and friend to the lifeguard team while maintaining the establishment's tradition of complimentary wings following successful saves.
Matt Nix has been tapped as showrunner and executive producer, with McG helming the pilot episode. The network placed a 12-episode series order in September 2025, with the show scheduled to premiere during the 2026-2027 television season.
The ensemble cast combines returning stars with 14 additional actors joining the revival.
