Content creator Meredith Lynch has sparked conversation ahead of tonight's Met Gala with a video addressing the event's new lead sponsors. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sanchez Bezos were announced as the primary sponsors for Fashion's Biggest Night.

In her video, Lynch raised concerns about Bezos's corporate involvement, specifically referencing Amazon's provision of cloud computing services to U.S. government agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

"You cannot wear the ICE out pin to the Jeff Bezos-backed Met Gala. Jeff Bezos is part of the reason we're in this mess," Lynch stated in the clip.

The post has garnered attention from high-profile figures. Bella Hadid, a frequent Met Gala attendee over the years, liked the video, as did Taraji P. Henson, who has walked the red carpet at multiple editions of the event, including last year's 2025 ceremony.

Henson went further by commenting directly on the post: "I am so confused by some ppl that are going. I am just like WTF ARE WE DOING!?!?!?!"

Her comment has led observers to speculate that Henson may be sitting out this year's celebration. The engagement from both actresses has fueled discussion about whether Hadid might also be absent from tonight's event.
