Benito Skinner Announces Zedd Guest Appearance and Dual Role for 'Overcompensating' Season 2

Benito Skinner is building anticipation for the next chapter of his Prime Video series Overcompensating, sharing fresh details about what's in store for season two.

The 32-year-old creator and star opened up at Obsessed Fest over the weekend, revealing that DJ Zedd will make a guest appearance in the upcoming episodes. During a panel discussion, Skinner explained that Zedd will feature in a spring break episode, taking on the role of a character named 'Clarity.'

"I was thinking about the time period that inspired this show," Skinner said, according to reporting from the event. "We have Zedd for Spring Break, so Zedd will be playing 'Clarity'. I can't tell you where he plays it, but it's inspired a little bit by Fyre Festival."

Beyond the musical guest, Skinner confirmed that the soundtrack for season two will continue to feature contributions from collaborators including Amber Bain of The Japanese House and Alex Summers. He also revealed that he and George Daniel have created an original song together for the series.

In another twist, Skinner disclosed that he'll be expanding his on-screen presence by playing a second character throughout the new season. He teased that viewers should expect darker developments in the episodes ahead.

"There's something coming, something sinister," he hinted.
