Bethenny Frankel Opens Up About Co-Parenting Relationship with Jason Hoppy

Bethenny Frankel is shedding light on her co-parenting arrangement with her former spouse Jason Hoppy.
The former Real Housewives of New York City star, 55, and Hoppy, 54, tied the knot in 2010 before separating two years later. Their split led to an extended legal battle over custody of their daughter Bryn, now 16, which ultimately resulted in a custody agreement in 2014. The couple's divorce was finalized in 2021.
During an appearance on Emma Grede's Aspire podcast this week, Frankel reflected on the current state of her relationship with Hoppy and how it affects their family unit.
"I want to be in a successful relationship for myself and my daughter because we're rolling very light and it comes up during holidays," Frankel said. "It comes up just in different ways with our unit."
She acknowledged that there are significant personal matters at play within Bryn's broader family dynamic. Given these circumstances, Frankel expressed her desire to provide her daughter with a stronger sense of community and belonging.
"I want a unit, I want a family," Frankel explained. "I want to be part of a team, and I want to work for sure because I believe in the power of purpose and I believe in being connected to something. I just want enough of the vehicle that I can still connect with an audience in the way that I do now and laugh."
The comments mark a rare public discussion from Frankel regarding her co-parenting situation with her ex-husband.
