Beyoncé's 'Act III' Album Release Rumors Dismissed by Rep and Media Sources

April 27, 2026

Speculation about an imminent Beyoncé album has been firmly put to rest.

Whispers have been swirling that the follow-up to 2022's Renaissance and 2024's Cowboy Carter could arrive within days, but multiple sources have moved to quash those claims as of Tuesday, April 28.

The rumors gained traction following Beyoncé's recent Instagram activity, with some suggesting a May release was in the works. On the Today show, hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones addressed the speculation directly, citing inside information to set the record straight.

"We had a very reliable source call us in the middle of the night," Bush Hager explained, emphasizing the credibility of the tipster. "We don't want you to be disappointed, so we're telling you now: Act III is not coming out next week."

She added reassurance to fans, noting that while the album isn't arriving imminently, its eventual release remains expected. "It's coming. We're better now. We've had some time to sit with this news. We hope you guys at home can sit with this news," she said alongside her co-host.

Simultaneously, a fan site circulated what it claimed was a detailed rollout schedule for the project, incorporating the Met Gala and Vogue into its timeline. Beyoncé's representative Yvette Noel-Schure responded swiftly to dismiss the report.

"This is unequivocally false!!" the rep posted on social media.

Meanwhile, Destiny's Child is marking 25 years since the release of their acclaimed third studio album Survivor.
