Sabrina Carpenter and Joey King Celebrate Met Gala Night with Photo Booth Snapshots

The two stars attended the 2026 Met Gala and later hit up an after party at Zero Bond in Manhattan on the evening of May 4, where they captured some candid moments together. Joey posted the snapshots to her Instagram Stories with the caption "My bb" and a heart emoji.

The pair's bond runs deep—they've been friends since their early teens, meeting at a charity event when they were just 12. According to Joey, the connection took time to solidify. "We've been friends forever. We met many, many years ago at a charity event. Sabrina came over to me and was like, 'Hi, I'm Sabrina,'" Joey explained in an interview with Wired. "What's funny is we weren't always super close. For the first several years of our friendship, we would hang out once every like, year. And it was the funnest thing in the world. We don't know why it took us so long to become as close as we are now."

For the after party, Sabrina switched into a striking black-and-white bodysuit paired with a matching fur coat. Joey, meanwhile, wore a second Miu Miu ensemble for the evening—she had previously stunned on the Met Gala red carpet earlier that night in a sheer Miu Miu gown.

Their friendship extends beyond casual hangouts. Joey appeared in Sabrina's 2018 music video for "Sue Me," and when Joey married in 2023, Sabrina performed a special rendition of the Swedish song "Tjugonde" by Amason as her best friend walked down the aisle.
