Big Brother Season 28 Unveils First 14 Houseguests; More Cast Members Coming

The Big Brother house has opened its doors to its newest group of players. A YouTube livestream featuring the "Broveal" of contestants has introduced 14 confirmed houseguests for Season 28, though CBS has signaled that the full roster is still being finalized.
The newly revealed cast brings an eclectic mix of backgrounds and professions. Among those moving into the house are an MMA fighter, a rocket scientist, a game show host, and a drag performer, alongside bartenders, attorneys, coaches, and various other professionals ranging in age from 22 to 57.
The confirmed contestants are:
Ashley Trail, 24, a bartender from Chicago; Barrett Pfeiffer, 27, a Jumbotron engineer based in Austin; Chuk Anyanwu, 27, a supply chain analyst from Dallas; Drew Campbell, 22, a surgical dental assistant from Temecula, California; Haley Thogmartin, 29, a telemedicine executive from Wildwood, Missouri; Jason De Puy, 35, a drag queen from West Hollywood; Kamuela "Kamu" Kirk, 32, an MMA fighter from Phoenix; LaTrice Verrett, 57, a boutique salesperson from Maplewood, New Jersey; Lyric Medeiros, 25, an attorney from Honolulu; Mallory Aurichio, 24, a rocket scientist from New Jersey; Melody Morris, 24, a corporate game show host currently in Maricopa, Arizona; Rome Seymour, 28, a pickleball coach from Delray Beach, Florida; Taylor Brown, 27, an elementary school counselor from Deerfield Beach, Florida; and Yash Patel, 24, a financial analyst from Monroe Township, New Jersey.
Speculation continues that alumni from other reality television programs may join the cast, though nothing has been officially confirmed.
Season 28 carries the "Time Trip" theme, immersing houseguests in a world designed around temporal exploration. The house features rooms, artifacts, and competitions meant to transport players through different eras. Early twists are built into the format, and challenges draw inspiration from decades including the 1980s and Y2K era, promising to shake up strategy and alliance-building from the start.
The season launches with a special 90-minute premiere on Thursday, July 9, airing from 8:00 to 9:30 PM ET/PT. The following evening, Friday, July 10, brings the premiere of Big Brother: Unlocked from 8:00 to 9:00 PM ET/PT. The opening weekend concludes with another 90-minute episode on Sunday, July 12, also running from 8:00 to 9:30 PM ET/PT.
