Chelsea Clinton Completes Boston Marathon as Bill and Hillary Cheer Her On
Chelsea Clinton joined thousands of runners at the 2026 Boston Marathon on Monday, April 20, with her parents ready and waiting at the finish line in Boston, Massachusetts.
Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were on hand not only to welcome their daughter across the finish line but also to present her with her finishing medal.
Chelsea completed the 26.2-mile race in 3 hours, 40 minutes, and 52 seconds, maintaining an average pace of 8 minutes and 26 seconds per mile, according to Runner's World. She tackled the course alongside her friend Jen Kloss.
"Congratulations @ChelseaClinton for setting a new personal best in the @bostonmarathon! We're so proud of you — today and every day!" Bill Clinton shared via Twitter/X following the race.
On Instagram, Hillary Clinton celebrated the milestone: "Congrats to @chelseaclinton for running her fifth marathon, her first in Boston!"
Chelsea made a point to ensure that the police officers who ran the marathon alongside her also received medals. The Boston Athletic Association noted that Chelsea described the experience as an "amazing race" where she "had so much fun out there."
The 2026 Boston Marathon attracted a notable lineup of celebrity participants. Love Island USA winner Bryan Arenales, former NHL player Zdeno Chara, Dropkick Murphys musician Jeff DaRosa, comedian Laura Green, Olympian Des Linden, and retired NASA astronaut Suni Williams were among those who took on the course.
