Olympic Alpine Skiing Legend Bode Miller Faces Misdemeanor Drug Charges

Bode Miller, one of the most celebrated figures in American Olympic skiing, was arrested this month on drug-related charges, according to court documents.

The 48-year-old alpine racer has been charged with two misdemeanor counts connected to an incident that occurred on June 6. The charges include possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Miller has entered a not guilty plea to both charges. His court appearance is scheduled for July 29.

The legendary skier stands among the most accomplished alpine competitors in U.S. Olympic history. Over five Winter Olympic Games, he captured six medals, highlighted by a gold medal in the super combined event at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. He also holds the distinction of being the oldest alpine skier ever to win an Olympic medal, achieving this feat during his 2014 Olympic appearance.

Miller is married to Morgan and the couple has three children together.
