Miles Heizer and Angus O'Brien Vacation in Mexico Following 'Boots' Cancellation

Miles Heizer and Angus O'Brien are treating fans to snapshots from a recent getaway to Mexico, where the two former co-stars and close friends enjoyed some downtime together.

The pair's beach escape comes roughly five months after their Netflix series Boots was canceled. The critically acclaimed show centered on a coming-of-age LGBTQ+ narrative set against the backdrop of the 1990s US Marine Corps—an era when homosexuality remained illegal within military ranks.

The series followed Cameron Cope (Heizer), a conflicted closeted recruit, and his closest friend Ray McAffey (Liam Oh), whose father is a decorated Marine, as they join a cohort of diverse recruits. The ensemble cast worked through both literal and figurative challenges during boot camp, building unexpected friendships while uncovering their authentic identities in an intentionally demanding setting.

O'Brien, who took on the role of Thaddeus Beau Sterling Hicks, posted a shirtless gym photo to his Instagram Stories the previous week. Heizer subsequently shared a carousel of vacation images to his Instagram feed on May 6, captioning the post: "We went to Mexico and now you have to look at it ?."

O'Brien responded in the comments, writing: "I'm looking and loving ???."

The two are friends rather than romantic partners. O'Brien recently celebrated his longtime boyfriend Chris Adkins' birthday on social media, sharing: "Happy birthday to the LOML kindest, smartest, hottest man I've ever known! You make people's lives better just from knowing you 🙂 Your constant output of love and care into the world inspires me everyday."

The vacation photos showcase the pair relaxing beachside, enjoying outdoor workouts, and soaking in sunset views. Additional snapshots capture moments of leisure—from Heizer sporting a speedo and lounging with the ocean as his backdrop to O'Brien scrolling through his phone during an evening beach session. The duo also encountered a cat during their time at the beach. Heizer shared a playful selfie with the feline, while another image shows both actors cuddling together on the sand. O'Brien rounded out the documentation with a photo taken during their flight back home.
