Sophia Bush and Lauren Holly Take Center Stage in 'Broad Trip' Comedy Trailer

The Roku Channel has released the highly anticipated trailer for the comedy film Broad Trip, which brings together actress Sophia Bush and veteran performer Lauren Holly in the lead roles, alongside Steve Guttenberg.

The film follows Alice, a reserved daughter portrayed by Bush, who embarks on a road trip with her free-spirited mother Jeanie, played by Holly. The journey takes an unexpected turn when Alice attempts to dissuade her mother from marrying a man she's only recently met, portrayed by Guttenberg. Throughout their adventure, the pair navigate rediscovered closeness, unresolved conflicts, and reconnections with past loves while discovering that life's unpredictability may have value.

Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe directs the project, with Chelsea Davison handling the screenplay. Beyond her acting role, Bush also serves as an executive producer on the film.

In a statement to Variety last December, Bush expressed her enthusiasm for the project. "Growing up, I loved classic comedies from the 90s and I've always wanted more of that style," she shared. "The moment I read this script, I knew I had to be part of it. Getting to work with Lauren and Steve transformed what was already a fantastic story into something truly special. Plus, working with an innovative and rapidly expanding streaming platform as a producer is incredibly exciting. I'm eager to share this BROAD TRIP experience with audiences everywhere!"

The 43-year-old One Tree Hill star's latest venture arrives on The Roku Channel on May 8, 2026.
