BTS Takes Home Artist of the Year at 2026 AMAs, Sweeps All Nominated Categories

BTS had a triumphant evening at the 2026 American Music Awards, held Monday (May 25) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The South Korean group claimed the night's top honor, Artist of the Year, while simultaneously sweeping every category in which they received nominations. Their wins included Song of the Summer for their track "Swim" and Best Male K-Pop Artist.

The group's dominance extended beyond their award haul. BTS kicked off the ceremony with the opening performance, which was filmed at one of their recent shows at Allegiant Stadium. They also took the stage during the live broadcast to accept their accolades and presented an award to a fellow artist.

Queen Latifah served as host for the evening, marking her return to the role more than three decades after her previous hosting stint. The AMAs broadcast live on CBS, with Taylor Swift leading the night's nomination count at eight nods.
