Apple TV Unveils 'Cape Fear' Limited Series with Amy Adams, Javier Bardem, and Patrick Wilson

Apple TV is gearing up to launch a chilling new psychological thriller this summer. The limited series "Cape Fear" will bow on the streaming platform on Friday, June 5, with a star-studded cast headlined by Amy Adams, Javier Bardem, and Patrick Wilson.
The 10-episode series will premiere with two installments, with subsequent episodes rolling out weekly every Friday through July 31.
The story follows happily married attorneys Anna and Tom Bowden, played by Adams and Wilson respectively. Their lives are upended when Max Cady, a notorious killer portrayed by Bardem, is released from prison. The couple had been instrumental in securing his conviction, and Cady is now determined to seek revenge.
The project draws inspiration from Martin Scorsese's 1991 remake of the classic thriller, which was produced by Steven Spielberg. The series ultimately traces its roots back to the John D. MacDonald novel "The Executioners," which first adapted to film in 1962 with Gregory Peck in the lead role.
The ensemble cast also features Joe Anders, Lily Collias, and Malia Pyles. The supporting cast includes CCH Pounder, Jamie Hector, and Anna Baryshnikov.
