A television drama chronicling Celine Dion's formative years is moving forward with the backing of her family.

The working title of the project is Growing Up Dion, and it will explore the Grammy-winning artist's upbringing in Quebec during her rise to becoming an international icon. The series draws from Dion, A Family Saga, a book penned by her nephew Jimmy Dion.

Jacques Dion, Celine's brother, is producing the drama. Zoe Green, known for her work on Sirens and Carnival Row, has been brought on as showrunner.

The show will chart "Dion's childhood in Quebec and formative years growing up in a modest, music-filled household, where her bond with her mother Thérèse and close-knit dynamic of 14 sibling relationships shaped her path to global superstardom."

Jacques shared his thoughts on bringing the family narrative to television: "This series represents something deeply meaningful for our family, as it captures the spirit, struggles, and love that defined our upbringing. We are proud to finally share this story with the world in a way that feels true to who we are."

The announcement arrives as Dion navigates a significant career moment. The singer dropped new music last month—her first release in over six years. The French-language track, Dansons, precedes her upcoming concert residency in Paris scheduled for later this year.

Dion has been gradually rebuilding her performing career while managing stiff-person syndrome, the rare neurological condition she disclosed publicly in December 2022.
