Ferrari's Charles Leclerc returned to victory lane at the 2026 Pirelli British Grand Prix, claiming his first Formula 1 win in nearly two years at Silverstone Circuit in Northampton, England on Sunday, July 5.

The 28-year-old Monegasque driver's triumph represents a significant milestone for both him and his team. His last victory came at the Austin Grand Prix in October 2024, and Sunday's win marked the 250th in Scuderia Ferrari HP's storied history.

Leclerc started from second on the grid and moved into the lead at the race start, maintaining his position for most of the race distance. While Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli mounted a challenge from second position in the closing stages, a mechanical issue with Antonelli's car eased the pressure on Leclerc. The race concluded under the Safety Car following Max Verstappen's crash on lap 48.

George Russell of Mercedes finished second, with Ferrari teammate Lewis Hamilton rounding out the podium in third place.

The victory marks Leclerc's first win at Silverstone and his ninth overall since entering Formula 1 in 2018. Fans voted him Driver of the Day for his performance.

"It feels incredible," Leclerc said after the race, reflecting on the win. "Unfortunately the end was maybe not the one I will have dreamt of, but to win after the last few weekends that have been particularly difficult, all the work that we put into trying to get the feeling back in the car. I felt like I had found something yesterday between the Sprint and Qualifying but I had to confirm that today. And today, the feeling was back where it needs to be. I'm so incredibly happy."

The result moves Leclerc to fourth place in the Drivers' Championship with 108 points this season. Ferrari's double podium finish puts the Scuderia second in the Constructors' Championship with 255 points, trailing Mercedes' 333.
