Emilia Jones and Nick Robinson Lead 'Charlie Harper' Romance Film

Emilia Jones and Nick Robinson are taking on leading roles in the upcoming indie romance "Charlie Harper," with the film's first trailer now available.

Row K unveiled the trailer on Thursday, June 25, for the project starring the 24-year-old CODA actress and 31-year-old "Voicemails for Isabelle" actor. The film centers on the title characters—Charlie, played by Robinson, and Harper, portrayed by Jones—as their relationship evolves in unexpected ways.

The story delves into the push and pull between romantic feelings, career aspirations, sense of self, and personal development. At its core, the narrative follows what unfolds when two people who share a profound bond begin moving along separate paths, ultimately raising the question of whether love can sustain them through such divergence.

Tom Dean penned the screenplay for the project, which was co-directed by Dean and Mac Eldridge. Behind the scenes, producers Wyck Godfrey, Isaac Klausner, Laura Quicksilver, Patrick Wachsberger, Ashley Stern, and Mallory Edens worked to bring the film to life.

The supporting cast features Nicholas Cirillo, Virginia Tucker, Sebastian Delascasas, and Ja'Quan Henderson.

"Charlie Harper" will debut in theaters on September 25.
