Chase Infiniti commanded attention on the red carpet at her first Met Gala, arriving at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday, May 4, in a breathtaking custom creation.

The 25-year-old breakout star from One Battle After Another wore a striking Thom Browne trompe l'oeil dress drawing inspiration from Alexandros of Antioch's iconic second-century-BC sculpture, the Venus de Milo.

The showstopping gown featured an intricate design that pushed the boundaries of couture craftsmanship. According to Vogue, the dress incorporated more than 1.5 million stacked sequins paired with tiered silk fringes in over 600 different colors, creating an effect meant to echo the appearance of brushstrokes.

This year's Met Gala centered on the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Art exhibition, which examines "the centrality of the dressed body" through various representations of the human form housed in the institution's collection. The evening's dress code was "Fashion is Art," and the event was co-chaired by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. As always, the gala drew hundreds of A-list celebrities celebrating the intersection of fashion and artistic expression.
