Chelsea Handler Ends Relationship With Cowboy Boyfriend, Maintains Friendship

Chelsea Handler has officially ended her relationship with her cowboy boyfriend, the 51-year-old comedian revealed in a recent podcast appearance.
The pair dated for roughly six months before calling it quits. Handler explained during an interview on Let's Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari that she and her ex maintain a friendly connection despite the breakup.
"The last guy I was dating, I met him in Vegas at a blackjack table. That was a really fun, like, adventure," Handler recalled. "We had a great five, six months together."
According to Handler, the split was mutual and amicable, with the primary factor being her reluctance to pursue anything more serious. She acknowledged that around the six-month mark, she typically feels compelled to move on from relationships.
Despite their breakup, the two were recently photographed together at BottleRock Napa Valley festival, further confirming they've transitioned into a friendship. Handler remains open to reconnecting down the line, telling Cavallari, "Maybe I'll see him again, maybe we'll fool around again."
Handler also addressed her public social media presence with her dating life, noting that sharing photos of men she's been with doesn't necessarily indicate serious commitment. "I post guys all the time that I'm dating," she explained. "I'm not posting them saying, 'this is my boyfriend.' It's like, who I'm spending time with."
The comedian has been candid about her relationship preferences in general. She made clear that she has no interest in committed, long-term partnerships at this stage of her life.
"I am not a long-term person. I'm not interested in anything that comes after the six-month relationship mark," Handler stated. "I'm not interested in dealing with your family or your issues. I am not interested."
She elaborated further on what she does want from her romantic life. "I don't want to be part of a unit. I want to have a good, sexy affair. I don't want to be a couple," she said.
