Chicago Med Season 12 Returns This Fall on NBC With Cast Lineup Confirmed

Chicago Med is heading back to the small screen this fall with its 12th season. NBC will air the new episodes at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesdays, continuing the network's One Chicago programming block.

The medical drama, which first debuted in 2015, centers on the physicians and nursing staff working in the emergency department of the fictional Gaffney Chicago Medical Center. The show tracks their professional lives as they care for patients while managing the intense demands of their roles.

As production gears up for the upcoming season, details about the returning cast are beginning to emerge. The showrunner has already started sharing teaser information about what's in store for Season 12. Fans can expect to see familiar faces back in their roles at the hospital, though specifics about individual cast members continue to develop as the premiere date approaches.

The 12th season marks another chapter for the long-running series, which has maintained a dedicated audience throughout its run on NBC.
