Connor Storrie's 'April X' Thriller Lands Wide North American Release This Fall

April 22, 2026

Connor Storrie has secured a major theatrical release for his latest film project. The 26-year-old Heated Rivalry actor stars in the near-future thriller April X alongside Lilly Krug, a psychological tale that follows twin siblings Bax and April through a post-Soviet urban landscape. When April vanishes, her brother Bax embarks on a desperate search through the city's darkest corners, ultimately spiraling into psychological turmoil.

Sunrise Films and Rialto Distribution have joined forces to bring the film to North American audiences, planning a rollout across more than 500 theaters beginning in late September. Michel K. Parandi directed the project.

Andrew Nerger, representing Sunrise Films, shared his enthusiasm for the release: "We are incredibly excited to bring Connor Storrie's electrifying sci-fi thriller April X to theaters across the United States and Canada. The film is a high-concept, adrenaline-charged ride that pairs cutting-edge, cyberpunk world-building with gripping suspense, powered by Storrie's magnetic star turn at its core."

The film's reach extends well beyond North America. International distribution agreements have been finalized across numerous territories: Vertigo Releasing will handle the UK and Ireland, Tiberius Film covers Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, Magnetes Pictures manages Eastern Europe, Hausmann Media handles French-speaking regions, Jaye Entertainment brings it to South Korea, Rialto Distribution covers Australia and New Zealand, and Lionsgate Play will distribute throughout India and the SAARC region.

Storrie was spotted on set filming the project during 2024. Specific release dates for international markets are anticipated to be announced soon.
