Corey Feldman Discharged From Hospital After In-Flight Medical Scare

Corey Feldman is back home and recovering following a health crisis that unfolded mid-flight this week.

The 54-year-old Stand By Me star landed in Los Angeles after departing from Chicago when he experienced a sudden medical emergency. Upon arrival at LAX, the Los Angeles Fire Department transported him to a nearby hospital for evaluation and care.

Medical professionals initially investigated whether the actor was dealing with serious conditions such as pancreatitis or gallstones. However, after conducting a battery of tests, physicians ruled out those concerns and pinpointed the culprit: severe food poisoning.

"Having food poisoning on a plane was a nightmare, but Corey is very grateful for all of the love and well wishes!" his publicist shared in a statement to Entertainment Weekly.

The representative added that the former child star is "doing much better and is now out of the hospital."

Feldman's health scare comes as several other celebrities have dealt with food poisoning-related incidents recently. Singer Rosalia was forced to cut short a performance in Milan due to the illness, while model Brooks Nader contended with it during her 29th birthday festivities in February.
