Prosecutors Allege Child Pornography Found on D4vd's Phone in Murder Case

April 22, 2026

Prosecutors have made new allegations against D4vd following his arrest on murder charges related to the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

At a status hearing held Thursday, April 23, prosecutors stated they uncovered "a significant amount" of child pornography during their examination of the 21-year-old singer's iPhone, though details remain unclear regarding any connection to the victim, according to reports.

The court appearance brought together prosecutors, D4vd, and his legal representatives to discuss an upcoming preliminary hearing scheduled for May 1. During the proceedings, L.A. County Deputy District Attorney Beth Silverman addressed concerns from the defense team regarding delayed evidence disclosure. Silverman explained that three separate investigative grand juries had been involved in the investigation, with their transcripts expected to become available in due course. A wiretap was also utilized during the investigation, which was revealed during Thursday's hearing.

D4vd, whose legal name is David Burke, was officially charged with Celeste's murder on Monday, April 20. Court documents obtained by media outlets indicate prosecutors are alleging he engaged in continuous sexual abuse, with the potential victim being as young as 12 years old at the time. The charges could carry the potential penalty of death.

Celeste Rivas Hernandez's cause of death has been determined, and her family has made public statements regarding the case.
