Storage Wars Star Darrell Sheets Dead at 67

Darrell Sheets, a fixture on the reality auction series Storage Wars, has passed away. He was 67.

The beloved television personality died on Wednesday, April 22, at his home in Lake Havasu, Arizona. Lake Havasu Police responded to a call regarding a deceased person at his residence around 2 a.m., where Sheets was pronounced dead. Authorities determined the death resulted from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. His remains were subsequently transferred to the Mohave County Medical Examiner's Office.

Sheets became a household name through his 15-season run on Storage Wars, during which he appeared in 163 episodes as one of the show's primary buyers. His on-screen persona, "The Gambler," made him instantly recognizable to fans of the series. He was particularly famous for his signature catchphrase, "This is the WOW factor!" which he'd deliver with infectious enthusiasm at auctions.

Following his departure from the series, Sheets settled in Lake Havasu, where he operated an antique shop called Havasu Show Me Your Junk. He frequently appeared at auctions alongside his son Brandon, who earned his own nickname on the show—The Sidebet.

In previous years, Sheets experienced significant health challenges, including a heart attack that required hospitalization and surgical intervention.

The entertainment world continues to mourn the loss of several prominent figures in 2026.
