David Corenswet Steps in to Protect Milly Alcock at Supergirl Premiere

A moment between David Corenswet and Milly Alcock at Monday night's Supergirl world premiere in New York City has captured attention on social media.

The 32-year-old actor, who plays Superman in the DC Universe's latest film, appeared to step in when a photographer made contact with the 26-year-old actress on the red carpet. Video footage shows Corenswet quickly moving to position himself between Alcock and the photographer, raising his hand in what appeared to be a protective gesture while seemingly directing the photographer away from her.

In the clip, both actors were seen conversing with Rachel Brosnahan and Nicholas Hoult before the interaction took place. The moment went viral as viewers noted Corenswet's swift response to the situation.

Corenswet took on the Superman role in the 2025 film of the same name, which launched the new DC Universe under the direction of James Gunn and Peter Safran. He also appears alongside Alcock in Supergirl.

Alcock, known for her work on House of the Dragon, was first introduced to the DC Universe through a post-credits scene in Superman and now anchors her own feature film. The Supergirl premiere drew additional cast members including Eve Ridley and David Krumholtz, alongside director Craig Gillespie and producer James Gunn.

Supergirl arrives in theaters on June 26.
