The 2026 Cannes Film Festival welcomed an impressive roster of talent to the red carpet on Thursday, May 14, as the world premiere of "Fatherhood" took center stage at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.

Among the attendees were Demi Moore, Diane Kruger, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Seth Rogen and his wife Lauren Miller Rogen, Chloé Zhao, Alfonso Cuarón, Ruth Negga, Sara Sampaio, Aja Naomi King, and Samira Wiley.

Directed by Pawel Pawlikowski, the German-language film tells the story of the relationship between Thomas Mann, a Nobel Prize-winning writer portrayed by Hanns Zischler, and his daughter Erika, played by Sandra Hüller. Erika's multifaceted life encompasses work as an actress, writer, and rally driver. The narrative unfolds during the Cold War, with the father and daughter embarking on an emotionally charged journey across a devastated Germany in a black Buick, traveling from Frankfurt—under U.S. control—to Soviet-controlled Weimar.

Joining Hüller and Zischler on the red carpet were fellow cast members August Diehl and cinematographer Lukasz Zal, alongside director Pawlikowski himself.

The festival continues through May 23, with additional red carpet moments expected throughout the remainder of the event.
