Lola Sheen Honors Patrick Muldoon in Heartfelt Instagram Tribute

April 19, 2026

Lola Sheen is remembering Patrick Muldoon after the actor's death at age 57.

The late star dated Lola's mother Denise Richards in the late 1990s after the two met while filming Starship Troopers. Though their romantic relationship ended and Richards went on to marry Charlie Sheen, she and Muldoon remained connected. Following her split from Sheen, Richards rekindled her friendship with Muldoon, and the two stayed close throughout the years—with Muldoon even appearing on Richards' reality series Denise Richards & Her Wild Things in the past year.

On Instagram, Lola shared a moving tribute reflecting on Muldoon's role in her life and his bond with her mother.

"i thought you were the one that was supposed be in our lives forever. when i think of my childhood i think of you pat, and it's gonna be so weird to go on without you in our lives. you were such a huge part of our family and life will never feel the same, but that's just because of how much you impacted us. thank you for showing everyone around you how to be alive," Lola wrote.

She went on to recall specific memories with Muldoon, including a trip with her mother. "i'll never forget when we were on that trip with my mom and you wouldn't stop singing that Lola song to me, and made me laugh so hard. and you know that song will always make me think of you. i will really miss hearing my mom laugh on the phone with you. your voice always brightened my day and i'm gonna miss hearing it but i know my mom will more, but we will never stop talking about you," she continued.

Lola also praised Muldoon's friendship with her mother, noting the unique connection they shared. "thank you for being the best friend to her. thank you for being the one to make her laugh and forget about all she's going through. that was a gift you had. the bond you two had was something so special, that no one can touch. when i think of my mom i think of you. you guys came as a package and i'm so thankful i got to know you and witness a friendship so pure and special in front of my eyes," she said.

In her closing remarks, Lola revealed she had long hoped her mother and Muldoon would eventually become a couple again. "i always begged my mom i'm sure she told you that you guys would end up back together haha, but i guess staying best friends was better anyways ?? you really were a rockstar pat, and forever will be. have fun up there i know you will. love you," she concluded.
