Devil May Cry Season 2 Trailer Reveals Dante's Confrontation With Twin Brother Vergil

Netflix has unveiled the first look at Devil May Cry season 2, the animated adaptation of Capcom's acclaimed video game series.

The new season picks up with Dante facing off against his estranged twin brother Vergil as a war between worlds unfolds. The central conflict forces Dante to confront both his own inner demons and the childhood wounds of a fractured family bond. The synopsis poses a key question: will Dante overcome these challenges, or will his past ultimately consume him?

The voice cast includes Johnny Yong Bosch reprising his role as Dante, with Robbie Daymond taking on Vergil and Scout Taylor-Compton voicing Lady.

Season 2 will drop all eight episodes—each running 30 minutes—on May 12th. The series marks one of Netflix's growing slate of video game-to-screen projects, joining other adaptations like the upcoming Assassin's Creed television series currently in production.

The franchise has already made waves in the music world. Last year, Evanescence contributed an original song called "Afterlife" to the series, which the band performed at the 2025 Game Awards.
