Doja Cat brought classical elegance to the red carpet at the 2026 Met Gala. The Grammy-winning artist, 30, arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday, May 4, marking her fourth appearance at fashion's biggest night.

For the occasion, Doja selected a Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello creation—a flowing gown crafted from chiffon silicone with a thigh-high slit. She completed the look with Kiki platform mules, also rendered in silicone and hand-painted by an SFX artist.

The design drew inspiration from the museum's collection of ancient Greek sculptures. Vaccarello looked to the timeless way fabric draped across classical statuary when conceptualizing the gown. Doja, who graced the April cover of Vogue, spoke to the creative vision behind her ensemble.

"I'm excited for this year's Met Gala because I really love the theme—and I feel like me and my glam [team] have definitely got it in the bag for this one. I think that the reference we were most connected with was the way fabric draped over the body of a Grecian statue can be so timeless. I really loved the way that this dress draped over my body," she told Vogue.

This year's Met Gala celebrates the Costume Art exhibition at the museum, which examines "the 'centrality of the dressed body' through depictions and interpretations of the human form in the Met's extensive collection." The dress code theme is "Fashion is Art," with Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour serving as co-chairs for the star-studded evening.
