Dylan Sprouse and Wife Barbara Find Humor in Home Invasion Attempt

Dylan Sprouse and his wife Barbara made a public appearance at The Devil Wears Prada 2 world premiere in New York City on Monday night, where they addressed a harrowing incident that occurred just days earlier.

The 33-year-old actor and 32-year-old supermodel spoke with E! News at the event, opening up about how they've been handling the aftermath of the attempted home invasion. According to initial reports, the incident took place Friday morning, with Dylan physically confronting the intruder and holding him at gunpoint while Barbara contacted law enforcement.

When asked how they're moving forward, Barbara revealed their coping strategy: "We're dealing with the trauma with jokes." Dylan echoed her sentiment, explaining that he "thought it was funny" and doesn't shy away from humor in difficult moments. "You've got to have levity in life," he shared, emphasizing that "thankfully no one was hurt" and the situation didn't escalate further.

The couple expressed gratitude for their safety and their ability to attend the premiere. "We're just happy to be here and watch the movie," Barbara added.

This wasn't an isolated incident for the couple. Reports indicate the suspect had previously attempted to break into their home and was arrested in connection with outstanding warrants.
