Ed Sheeran Shaves Head, Shares Health Update and Announces Latin American Tour Dates
Ed Sheeran is embracing a new chapter. The 35-year-old musician took to Instagram on Tuesday to share an extensive personal update with fans, kicking things off with a major style change.
"Yes I've shaved my hair," he explained. "I wanted to shave it to signify a fresh start. A lot of new beginnings in my life atm. I love it, thinking of keeping it this way."
Beyond the new look, Sheeran announced exciting news for his international fanbase. He revealed that additional Latin American dates have been added to his touring schedule, with stops planned across Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, and Chile. "So excited to come back and play for you there, some of my fav countries and cities to play shows in, its been too long," he shared, directing fans to his website for full details and ticket information.
The singer also touched on his recent health situation, noting that he's been recovering from shingles over the past month. "Wouldn't recommend it, but on the mend now," he quipped.
In other updates, Sheeran mentioned reconnecting with fellow artist Martin Garrix. "Caught up with @martingarrix recently, know that guy for over a decade now, I love him, what a bloke," he wrote.
The musician also shared some personal entertainment and hobby updates, revealing he finally watched the fourth season of "Stranger Things" and recently finished reading "Demon Copperhead." He's also been collecting vinyl records from various shops, recently discovering an Allan Taylor album called "The Traveller" at a record store in Williamsburg.
Looking ahead, Sheeran confirmed he'll be restarting his Loop Tour within the next week and a half. "Can't wait to get back cracking on that, see you lovely people there," he said.
