CBS's 'Einstein' Assembles Star-Studded Cast Led by Matthew Gray Gubler

The cast for CBS's highly anticipated new series "Einstein" is taking shape.

The drama-comedy centers on Lewis Einstein, the great grandson of the legendary physicist who works as a tenured professor. When his impulsive behavior lands him in legal hot water, he finds himself conscripted to assist a local police detective in tackling her most complex investigations.

Matthew Gray Gubler leads the ensemble in the title role. The series began filming earlier this year and is slated to premiere during the CBS 2026-2027 season. The network has designated it for a midseason launch, though an exact premiere date has yet to be confirmed.

The show features an ensemble cast that includes Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Melissa Fumero, and Tony Shalhoub, among others joining Gubler in the production.

CBS describes the project as "a drama with comedic undertones" that promises to blend mystery-solving with lighter moments throughout its run.
