Eiza González and Brandon Sklenar Unite for Bodybuilding Drama 'Iron Jane'

Eiza González and Brandon Sklenar are joining forces for a new feature focused on the world of competitive bodybuilding.
The pair will headline Iron Jane, an upcoming film that will be showcased to international distributors at the Cannes Film Festival. The project marks a collaboration between the two actors and director-writer Lissette Feliciano.
The film centers on Janie John, portrayed by González, a woman who emerges from a childhood marked by neglect and invisibility into an arena that finally recognizes her. Within the bodybuilding sphere, where pain translates to power and physiques are sculpted through dedication, Janie discovers something previously out of reach: the ability to become untouchable. Under the guidance of a seasoned former champion—played by Sklenar—she embarks on a dramatic physical and mental transformation. Through intense training regimens, performance enhancers, and escalating dependence, she pushes her body beyond conventional limits. Her rise through the ranks accelerates, yet her psychological stability deteriorates. Caught within a framework that celebrates flawlessness while punishing any sign of frailty, Janie finds herself spiraling toward an impossible, godlike standard that progressively consumes her.
Director Feliciano shared her perspective on the casting and performances: "Iron Jane is fundamentally about recognizing that genuine strength often emerges through letting go. Eiza delivers a level of physical and emotional dedication, fearlessness, and genuine collaboration that fully embodies the character as I envisioned her. Her embodiment of Jane proves remarkable, and paired with Brandon's understated yet captivating work as her coach, the dynamic between them creates something I believe will resonate long after the credits roll."
González has built her profile through roles in Baby Driver, I Care a Lot, and Godzilla vs. Kong, alongside appearances in the Hulu film Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice and the Netflix series 3 Body Problem. Sklenar has gained recognition through standout performances in The Housemaid and Drop, and currently appears in the series 1923.
