Euphoria Season 3 Finale Sets HBO Record With Nearly 90-Minute Runtime

The end of Euphoria's third season is drawing near, and it's going out big.

With only three episodes remaining, HBO's Emmy-nominated drama from Sam Levinson is preparing to air its season finale—and it will be a lengthy one. The eighth and final episode carries a runtime of 93 minutes, according to reporting, making it not just the longest episode of the series but also the longest installment ever broadcast on HBO.

That record-breaking length edges out Game of Thrones, which previously held the distinction. The HBO fantasy epic's season eight, episode three—"The Long Night"—runs 82 minutes. Game of Thrones has accumulated several other extended episodes throughout its run, while its spinoff House of the Dragon has also featured multiple installments exceeding an hour, with several hitting the 70-minute mark.

By comparison, Euphoria episodes have typically stayed under 60 minutes, with the series' previous longest episode reaching 65 minutes. The extended finale duration has fueled ongoing speculation about the show's future. Star Zendaya has already hinted at what may be coming, teasing that the series could be heading toward its conclusion.
