Bulgaria has clinched its maiden Eurovision Song Contest victory. Performing at Vienna's Wiener Stadthalle on Saturday, May 16, DARA's "Bangaranga" emerged victorious, securing an impressive 516 points and sweeping both the jury and public voting categories.

The track edged out Israel's Noem Bettan, who placed second with "Michelle," while Romania's Alexandra Căpitănescu rounded out the podium in third with "Choke Me."

For DARA, the song carries profound significance. During Saturday's grand final performance, the artist explained that "Bangaranga" represents "the feeling that everybody gets in themselves the moment you choose to lead through love and not fear."

This breakthrough result marks a watershed moment for Bulgaria's Eurovision journey. Since first competing in 2005, the Balkan nation had managed to advance past the semi-finals on just five previous occasions—making this inaugural win all the more remarkable.

Rounding out the top ten were Australia and Italy in the top five positions, followed by Finland, Denmark, Moldova, Ukraine, and Greece completing the final rankings.

The victory underscores "Bangaranga's" universal appeal across both professional adjudicators and viewers casting votes from home.
