Two Formula 1 drivers and former teammates brought high fashion to the French Riviera this week as the 2026 Cannes Film Festival kicked into gear.

Charles Leclerc arrived on Wednesday (May 13) alongside his wife Alexandra for the La Vie D'Une Femme screening on the festival's second day. The newlyweds turned heads on the red carpet, with Leclerc cutting a sharp silhouette in a Giorgio Armani tuxedo while Alexandra commanded attention in a Paolo Sebastian gown accessorized with Messika jewelry.

The outing marked a significant moment for the couple—their first appearance together at Cannes as husband and wife. While it was Leclerc's debut at the prestigious festival, Alexandra returned for her second time attending.

Leclerc's presence in Cannes came as part of his new role with L'Oreal, for whom he was recently named a brand ambassador.

His former Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz also made waves at the festival, arriving a day earlier on Tuesday (May 12) for the opening ceremony and La Vénus Electrique screening. Sainz attended alongside girlfriend Rebecca Donaldson, both impeccably dressed for the occasion. Sainz wore a Giorgio Armani tuxedo paired with a Girard-Perregaux timepiece, while Donaldson opted for an archival Giorgio Armani dress, Sergio Rossi shoes, and Bvlgari jewelry.

Like Leclerc, Sainz is also representing L'Oreal as a brand ambassador. The appearance marks his second time at Cannes after attending last year, while it's Donaldson's first visit to the festival.

The two drivers are currently enjoying a brief respite from the racing calendar following the Miami Grand Prix earlier this month, an event both their partners attended. Their next competition will come quickly, however, with the Canadian Grand Prix taking place the following weekend. First practice sessions begin Friday, May 22, with the main race scheduled for Sunday, May 24.

Leclerc currently sits third in the Driver's Championship standings following four grands prix and two sprint races so far this season.
